Mission:
Lincoln Child Center is recognized as a leader and as a relentless advocate for children and families who are suffering from poverty, violence, crime and instability. Our mission is to enable vulnerable and emotionally troubled children and their families to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Through our combined programs, Lincoln reaches over 1,000 children and families in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
As an orphanage founded in 1883, Lincoln cared for thousands of children whose families were unable to provide for them over the years. As the child welfare system has evolved and changed, Lincoln has continued to respond to community needs.
