Our Results: Keeping Youth Off the Street
• In 2007-2008, Larkin Street has engaged over 3,500 homeless and runaway youth in services and Larkin Street’s housing programs kept youth off the streets for 79,312 nights.
• 129 Hire Up program clients found jobs at an average hourly wage of $10.55.
• 138 youth re-engaged in education by enrolling at Larkin Street’s on-site high school.
• Last year, Larkin Street helped 68 formerly homeless kids to enroll in post-secondary education including Columbia University, Mills College, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, City College of San Francisco, and Heald College.
• 74% of youth who complete Larkin Street’s comprehensive programs exit street life.
