Mission

Jewish Funds for Justice (JFSJ) is a national public foundation guided by Jewish history and tradition. Since 1984, JFSJ has developed new ways to create social change and strengthen low-income communities. JFSJ creates economic opportunity and security by investing in low-income communities and grassroots organizations, and by engaging Jews as partners and allies in social change work. We believe Jews have a responsibility to stand with all communities seeking justice, across lines of race and faith. JFSJ’s strategies are rooted in Jewish values. They include grantmaking and community investing, leadership development and service learning, organizing and advocacy.
