Mission:
ioby’s missions to foster environmental knowledge and action in New York City. We connect donors and volunteers to environmental projects in their own neighborhoods.
Results:
Since May, ioby donors and volunteers have had a big impact. They have picked up more than 9,000 pounds of trash, planted more than 200 plants and trees, led more than 300 hikers and volunteers through eight city parks and more than 50 beaches, turned more than 6,000 pounds of food waste into compost, and educated more than 550 students and New Yorkers about issues in the area.

IOBY has gotten better with age and more community support. When i first started with them the site was just getting started. Now there are great projects from all over the 5 boros and as more and more small NPO's hear about it, more projects are listed. I love that many gardens and compost projects... more »

Ioby.org has been a great help in finding funding for worthwhile projects that might otherwise go undone because of a lack of funding. Ioby provided the means for this project to go forward and become a reality... more »
