Target demographics: HomeAid partners with non-profit Service Providers that serve individuals who have suddenly become homeless through job loss, divorce, domestic violence, foreclosure and catastrophic illness. HomeAid also builds facilities for abused children, foster care youth, disabled veterans, homeless people living with HIV or AIDS, etc.

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Volunteers can participate in Project Playhouse, Essentials for Young Lives Campaign and volunteer to assist in HomeAid's Shelter Development Program.

Geographic areas served: Atlanta; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Colorado; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Inland Empire, CA; Los Angeles/Ventura, CA; Michigan; Northern California; Northern Virginia; Northwest Arkansas; Orange County, CA; Portland, OR; Sacramento, CA; San Diego, CA; Seattle, WA; Southern Nevada; Tampa, FL; Washington, D.C.

Mission:
Mission: To build and maintain dignified housing where homeless families and individuals can rebuild their lives. 
Results:
HomeAid has now completed 210 shelters around the country totaling 1,400,000 square feet of space at a cost of approximately $166 million, of which nearly 50 percent represents in-kind donations by builders and their trades and suppliers. Our facilities have now housed more than 100,000 people. We currently have 32 projects in development. It is a substantial record.
