Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Cook, serve, and eat with someone in a shelter while having fun or hike a mountain all the while helping someone in need (we collect items for shelters before starting the hike:)

Mission:

Hike It Up brings communities and families together by producing progressive events and fundraisers that involve community based activities and improvement projects that serve youth, family, individual, environmental, and school-based programs.

Results:

We have cooked for thousands of individuals.
We have provided art supplies for several schools locally.
We have provided art supplies to several shelters housing children.
We have given away jackets and warm clothes to thousands on the street and shelters.
We gave away 1,000 backpacks to 1,000 homeless children.
We just now gave away 300 blankets to homeless individuals.
Now, we are collecting non perishable food items for local pantries, shelters, and those in need.
We also have a calendar of cooking events coming up in March and April.

Hike it up is a great way to be a part of a philanthropic organization that works low to the ground to help those who really need it. It's one person helping another.
