Mission:
Founded in 1923 in Louisville, Goodwill Industries of Kentucky operates within 20 miles of 75 percent of all Kentuckians. Goodwill has 58 employment and training centers, operating as retail and donation centers, that provide a variety of job training and placement programs for people with disabilities or other disadvantages across the state.
Results:
In its last fiscal year (10/1/09-9/30/10), Goodwill Industries of Kentucky placed 1,657 Kentuckians into jobs and paid more than $15 million in wages to people with disabilities or other disadvantages.

I am the Program Director at Dress for Success Louisville and our partnership with Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, Inc. is strong and successful. Goodwill's Power of Work program sends us the highest number of referrals per year (out of 80 Referral Agencies) and we speak regularly to their groups.
