Target demographics: Young women from early teens to mid 30;s who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy situation.
Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2010 we helped over 300 clients, most between the ages of 16 and 25 years of age
Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Help work in our Resource room every Tuesday and Thursday morning or evening.
Geographic areas served: Harrisburg, Concord, Midland, Mt. Pleasant, University Area, Kannapolis, and Locust
Mission:
Pro-life Ministry providing practical, emotional, and spiritual assistance to women and infants who face pregnancy related issues or abortion related issues. While proclaiming Jesus Christ.
Results:
We have spent a lot of our time this year trying to raise awareness to our Center, and to raise funds to keep our Center open.

I have volunteered in the Center and now serve on the Board of Directors. I cannot tell you the satisfaction I see when I walk into the Center and see the women there with their babies. The volunteers at GATE have a passion for what they do. They serve our clients with open minds and hearts.

GATE empowers young women to become better mothers through classes, peer counseling, and moral support during their pregnancies. GATE also offers tangible assistance to those mothers by providing resources for them and their babies that they may not be able to afford in this difficult economy. ...
