Mission:
FUMA was founded in 1898 by Dr. William E. Hatcher, a prominent Baptist minister, to provide a college preparatory education for young men in a Christian environment. Using the best aspects of the military system, the Academy teaches its cadets responsibility, leadership, discipline, and pride by providing an atmosphere in which spiritual, mental, and physical growth can flourish.

Worst decision I ever made for my child. Fork Union is more concerned about money than your child. Because it is in a small town they have trouble recruiting competent teachers. Organizationally theu are a mess because their adminstrative staff is over worked and over paid. I had to call and email... more »
