Mission:

Fellow Mortals, Inc. is a dedicated wildlife hospital organized in 1985 and incorporated in 1991, which provides professional, compassionate rehabilitation services from admit to release.

A small professional staff provides medical and rehabilitative care for an average 2000 wild animals annually. Associated veterinarians donate their time to perform necessary surgeries. Our service area increases every year.

A philosophically-based organization, Fellow Mortals exists to provide care for the injured and orphaned wild creatures found and rescued by ordinary people, many of whom have never before interacted with a wild animal. Fellow Mortals bridges the gap between caring and giving care--providing an outlet for the compassion that is one of the finest aspects of our humanity and, by encouraging that compassion, helping to build a better society for all living things.

Results:

Fellow Mortals is celebrating its 25th Anniversary of serving wildlife and has provided care for over 25,000 injured and orphaned animals since 1985.

The staff at Fellow Mortals is defined by true compassion, beyond measure. Every wild creature brought to them is treated with respect and utmost care. I learned about Fellow Mortals two years ago when someone brought an injured killdeer to the public library where I worked. Since then, I have delivered several other animals in need of care to them.
