Description: ETM-LA is based on the successful ETM model (NY, 1991). At ETM-LA, we believe that every child deserves a well-rounded education: one that includes music. Unfortunately, many schools, especially those serving children in low-income communities, provide no music instruction or rely solely on short-term programs that do not serve every student. ETM-LA utilizes a comprehensive program that incorporates music into the education of every child, including those with special needs.

Mission:
Education Through Music–Los Angeles, an independent 501(c)3 organization, began in the Fall of 2006 to provide and promote the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and creative and general development.

I couldn't get our son away from the computers, video games, xbox you name. Then ETM at Rio Vista Elementary some how changed all that. He now has been taking music guitar classes and studying theory. Now he practices everyday to the point we've purchased a guitar and it has cut his computer gaming...
