Programs

Enterprise serves students age 14-18, who attend public and independent schools throughout San Francisco. Through a broad array of programs, students gain an understanding of how their interests and talents can be integrated into employment, community service and educational opportunities. More importantly each of our programs is designed to assist each individual in finding his/her potential. Our program services include: the Job Referral Program, cornerstone of Enterprise, operating year-round, serving over 1500 youth, creating after-school, weekend, and summer employment opportunities; the Career Exploration Program (CEP) offering the opportunity to ?try on? a career during a seven week summer internship; the Summer Gardening Program designed to gain valuable job skills while learning stewardship of the environment; the Entrepreneurship Program, a unique training program that integrates all of the major skill areas to pursue starting a business; the Junior Caddie Program providing both meaningful work and leadership opportunities for youth. It is the only caddie program of it?s kind in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area. While learning the skills of caddying, the youth are encouraged to not only to follow directions and participate as directed, but to also creatively contribute in decisions and planning of the games strategy, building leadership skills and self-confidence; the Youth Advisory Council, designed to engage youth as active participants and decision makers in community service, and our newest program, the Career Compass Program, a program to assist students in educational and career choice through personal reflection, educational and occupational exploration and decision- making. Students gain an understanding of how their interests and talents can be integrated into employment, community service and educational opportunities.
