Mission:
Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty before it is transferred to yet another generation, by building more educated and productive communities.
Results:
For the past two years our school retention rate has been over 97% of our 250 children in the program. We now have 4 children in the university and one will graduate end of 2011 with a degree in psychology. The community has experienced a paradigm shift towards valuing education.

I continue to be inspired by the work that is being done by Kathy Adams and the other folks at Empowerment Intermational. I volunteered to raise funds and attend the 8 day, 375 mile bike ride around Lake Nicaragua in Jan 2011. I assisted with driving a support vehicle and I raised $2,060 in donations so I could bike/attend the event.
