Description: The Crowden School specializes in the musical growth and education of children in grades 4-8. The Crowden Center for Music in the Community provides after-school, weekend, and summer music classes for students of all ages and levels of ability.

Mission:
The Crowden Music Center combines music and education to nurture, develop, and inspire students of all ages, and to provide essential support to the musical life of the community.
The Crowden Music Center serves as a musical hub for the San Francisco Bay Area, and especially the East Bay, by:
- Providing the highest quality music education for all ages and levels of ability, while encouraging a life-long love of music;
- Reaching out to children for whom music education would otherwise be unavailable;
- Supporting musicians, music teachers, and music institutions with training, affiliate programs, and collaboration in performance; and
-Building upon our tradition of excellence in developing the exceptional performer.
We believe that the enjoyment and understanding of music and the development of skills to create and perform music enrich the quality of life, nourish the human spirit, and foster the growth of intellect, creativity, and character.

The Crowden school was awesome. I graduated in 2009 and loved it. It really helped me have a large appreciation for music, which I continue to value and treasure.
This year, I'm renting space from them, and they continue to be awesome.

I had 2 kids go through Crowden 4th through 8th, the experience was fabulous. If you listen, you can hear what the conversation is when you visit a school. At Crowden the kids talk about chamber music and performance. My girls will always have that...
