Target demographics: Our target is to help low income families in the United States and the poor in Central America and East Africa with the physical and spiritual needs. We provide free medical and dental treatments to the poor. We have our own hospital in Guatemala that will open this October 2011.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Currently Help the Children has served over 500,000 children with food and needy supplies. We have helped seniors on fixed income, low income families and the homeless throughout 8 states and 12 countries.

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: On the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM to noon we pack boxes to send to our programs around the world or respond to national disasters. Please call us to let us know you would like to volunteer to build our food boxes.

Mission:

Help the Children is a Christian nonprofit humanitarianrelief organization dedicated to help alleviate the suffering of children andtheir families throughout the United States and around the world. Help the Children’s mission is to provideincreased self sufficiency by providing food, clothing, personal care items andmedical supplies without regard to political affiliation, religious belief, orethnic identity. Internationally: Helpthe Children is committed to serving a wide variety of people in diversecultural and economic settings, who suffer emotional, spiritual and physicalneeds which result from conditions beyond their personal control.

Results:

We are at the completion stage of our new hospital in Northern Guatemala. This hospital has 20 beds for overnight accommodations for treatment and follow up. We have a OBGYN room, Pediatrics room, dental rooms for there dental needs, etc.
