Mission:
Blanton-Peale Institute unites psychology with faith and spirituality. It was founded in 1937 by Norman Vincent Peale ("The Power of Positive Thinking") and psychiatrist Smiley Blanton. Blanton-Peale offers direct counseling services based on a sliding scale, and post-graduate educational programs and pastoral care studies programs in English and Korean. Our programs serve urban communities, and are in the forefront in training multi-cultural mental health counselors, and in providing mental health counseling and services for people of all ages, ethnicities, and faiths who live in the New York metropolitan area. The Blanton-Peale''s licensed Counseling Center in Manhattan and five community counseling centers throughout the boroughs and Long Island reach nearly a 1,000 individuals, couples, and families of all faiths each year.
