Description: Angel Flight West links both private pilots and commercial airline partners with people in need whose non-emergency health care problems require that they travel to and from medical facilities throughout the western united states, including Alaska and Hawaii. The costs of all flights are donated. In addition to non-emergency medical our pilots also fly kids to special need camps, transport participants in Wounded Warrior programs, assist families suffering through domestic violence as well as a wide variety of other compelling human needs. There is never a charge for an Angel Flight West mission,
Target demographics: Those who need to get from where they are to where they need to be for compelling reasons in the western United States.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 6500 flights arranged annually.
Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: If a pilot - could fly missions. Work in our Santa Monica office making calls, filing, etc.
