The Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative is an all-volunteer, national, 501(c)3 charity whose mission is to raise awareness and fund research through art.
We accept donations of small format art quilts (maximum size: 9” x 12") for the Priority: Alzheimer’s Quilt project. We sell or auction these quilts. We also sponsor a nationally touring exhibit of quilts about Alzheimer’s. All profit funds Alzheimer’s research.

AAQI is in it's sixth year and has raised over $690,000.00 for research. They have had over 9,000 quilts donated for auctions and sale. For a lttle grassroots organization started by Ami Sims because her mother had this insidious disease, we have come a very long way with not end in sight...

I have made a committment to make priority quilts for the Ahlzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative because I believe that money for reseach is the answer to finding a cure for this dreadful disease. It takes life away but leaves a shell of a person. We should all get behind this cause to find a cure in ...

My mom's name is listed among the many names. She taught me to sew many years ago. She struggles to quilt now...but she still loves it. I am thankful for all the quilters who encourage her. I am honored to participate in this initiative...
