For over 20 years, POPC has been an invaluable resource for my patients and their families. Working with the underinsured and uninsured at a community health center, POPC has been my primary referral site when patients need social services, support, or emergency care. I have personally seen them change the lives of these patients, allowing them to be better parents and providing help that would otherwise be absent in the community. Without them, many of these children would be poorly cared for or even homeless. Thank God for POPC, their workers, and volunteers. They do God's work daily.

I was one of the first volunteers with Sr. Benita before we even found a name for the Center. Over the years I have seen it grow to accomdate all the needs of the comunity . With the help of donations and volunteers we have been able to expand our services. I have served on the Board for 21 years.
I comsider it an honor to serve such a worthwhile organization. My husband George and I have been supporters of the services done at the Center and will continue as long as possible.

I have had many different dealings with the Prince of Peace over the years--all wonderful! I have gone to its facility to sing carols with the Girl Scouts at Christimas time; worked with their director on PR for their AWESOME program in conjunction with the Penn State Shenango campus computer salvage program; and sat on the United Way allocation committee for their agency for the last several years. Through all my connections with this agency, I am always amazed at what they do for people in need. They have a unique organization in they do not just give to those in need, they help people in need learn how to live on their own. I cannot say enough good about the Prince of Peace and its staff.

The Prince of Peace Center is a non-profit social service agency located in Farrell, Pennsylvania dedicated to strengthening families, building community, and reducing poverty throughout all of Mercer County, Pennsylvania.

My father was a board member until June, 2010 when he passed
away, however his involvement and concern in the Prince of Peace's mission inspired me to want to be a part of this fatith based agency. I recently replaced my father's board position and was welcomed with open arms. I have been involved with a number of other boards and this one definitely gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment. I can defiinitely see why he was so passionate about the Prince of Peace and the people who benefit from it.

Prince of Peace has provided Penn State Shenango students with internships for many years now to include both direct and indirect service opportunities. Students have gained invaluable experience in both areas and have succeeded in the work world in large part because of the excellent supervision they've received from Natalie Higbee and Annette Morrison.

Many thanks for the wonderful experiences you've provided us!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

... the maturity of students who report regularly what they've experienced during their internships. Application and implementation of academic and intellectual understanding enable students to observe the impact of their education in real-world situations.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

... provide additional funding so as to make its programs accessible to even more who could benefit from them. Kudos.
