Prime Stage Theater's goal to bring literatur to life is evidenced by their play selections and subsequent productions. I have attended their productions over the past 10 years and have never been disappointed by their professionalism and interpretation of the literature; they have always provided an exceptional experience. The educational outreach to the underserved communities thorugh their "Adopt a School" Program and student matinees provides an invaluable experience to these students which will last a lifetime. Their Teen Board and Mentor Program is an extension of their dedication to youth in the community with an interest and love for literature and theater.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the student matinee performances. Some students attending had never seen a live performance before and after reading the literature and seeing it performed, it provided many of these students with a captivating and memorable experience.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their outreach to the underserved community exposing them to literature and theater at the same time.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand their program to reach more students and othe individuals. They could increase the literacy of youths in our community by providing them the opportunity to not only read but see a directors interpretation of written word.

Prime Stage's productions feature strong casts, excellent direction, and an intimate setting. I enjoy seeing theater up close. I can see an actor flex his jaw muscles; I can feel the air shake when someone shouts or cries. Prime Stage really lets you experience the play.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the high quality of their productions.

Prime Stage provides valuable services to underpriviledged youth in the Pittsburgh region through their education programs. I truly believe in their mission to entertain, educate, and enrich families, students, and educators in the discovery of theatre and literature. They address adolescent literacy with theatrical adaptations of literature, new plays, and educational programs. Their Adopt-a-School Program, along with Resource Guides, Student Matinee Program, “Chat Sessions,” Teacher Workshops, and Technical Theater Mentor Program and Teen Board help make theater and literature relevant, comprehensible, and enjoyable to middle school and high school educators, students, and their families.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The eyes of the adolescent audience during and after productions in the chat sessions

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The professional adaptations of the plays they produce

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Reach a larger regional audience
