What a great place. Took my very picky teenage daughter and somehow even with out a friend with her she still had fun. Lots of good pinball's in great shape. An incredible staff of volunteers. Museum aspect is also very good.

Pinball! It's hard to find a good collection of games these days - even more rare to find them kept in good condition.

We took our six year old son to Playland, and stayed 3 hours. It was a safe, fun, relaxed and friendly atmosphere where we could all find something really fun to play and do. The feeling there is that this is YOUR museum, and your participation is what makes it fun. It feels like a home, yet is full of fascinating items from Playland's past, and we can't wait to go back!!! Recommended to anyone visiting the Bay Area as well as those who may not have discovered this gem.

The tons of history and the way it did not feel like a hands off museum in the traditional sense-very hands on and fun. I also loved the friendly atmosphere.

Expand! Serve Playland-at-the-beach food! (Though you are allowed to bring your own and they have a few vending machines and are equipped with a kitchen/dining room for parties, etc.)

This place is awesome. I think of it as the secret fun place in the Bay Area. There are free games, pinball, and lots of really cool things to look at. I was pretty impressed by Playland. I am currently trying to get a group of friends to go back with me!
