I have participated in Pickleberry Pie hospital concerts for 3 years in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, CA. We also include 2 special education classes in Santa Barbara. This program positively affects not just the children in hospitals and special education classrooms, but entire families, hospital workers, and aides, as well. In situations of sadness, grief, fear, frustration, and exhaustion, the Pickleberry Pie team of musicians brings joy, humor, and personal connection to those in need.
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
sharing the joy and "going to a happier place" with children in hospitals. One Mom tearfully told me playing lullabies to her child was the best thing that had happened in the hospital.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
seeing the direct positive impact on children and their families.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
in short, heroes.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
continue to reach children and families in hospitals across the country; expand its network of songwriting with teenage cancer survivors.

I have been hired by Pickleberry Pie to sing to children on the pediatric floor of our local hospital and at a public school classroom that teaches disabled kids. This is a wonderful service that brightens lives of children.
