I have contributed to PCRM for years and have supported their mission. I have found them to be responsible and compassionate. I have met Dr. Neal Barnard several times and found him to be a highly devoted and ethical person. As for others feeling "duped" by the name, their objectives are explicitly outlined in their requests for donations and should not come as a surprise to anyone who can read.

I have used their nutritional advice and their recipes. I like that they have helped eliminate animal dissection from almost every medical school.

I signed up for monthly donations for the "Remembering Rodney Society" in March. According to the website, Rodney was a poor dog that was abused and then killed by unsupervised veterinary students. Since March, I have received no information whatsoever about protecting dogs from medical testing. Instead, just about every email or piece of promo I received from PCRM was about turning everyone into VEGAN's as a cure for global warming. Clearly PCRM is a front group for some bizarre Vegan movement. It has nothing to do with Physicians taking a stand for responsible medicine. It is all about a few individuals with a hidden agenda. If they had been more open and honest about their agenda, I would never have signed up to donate. Everybody has a right to an agenda, that's fine. But this group is not open and honest about it. Finally on July 6th, I tried to cancel my monthly donation and their website would not let me, so I emailed them and told them about it and asked them to cancel the monthly donation, or fix the website. 5 days later on July 11th, I tried again to cancel it, but the website does not allow you to cancel your donation once you have signed up. So I sent another email about this to PCRM and gave them details about what the website was failing to do, and again ask them to cancel the monthly donation or fix the website so I could. No reply to either email, and the website is not fixed. They just keep banging my credit card every month. I have filed an Internet Crime Complaint with the FBI. In my book this is Credit Card Fraud.

This group has a hidden agenda and is a front for a bizarre global domination by Veganizing everyone I guess. So what are they going to do with all the food animals? Kill them to stop global warming?

Make them get honest and straight and change their name. It does not reflect who they are and what they do.
