PETS Inc. has helped my husband & I complete our family not once but twice. I've been to PETS Inc on several occasions, to shop in addition to adoption trips. I've seen the happy faces of families who've adopted a new pet. I've seen animals who've been taken in by PETS Inc who would've otherwise been taken to the animal shelter.
The main thing they're lacking is money. They're a non-profit organization that depends on donations and, unfortunately with the economy, PETS Inc. has taken more of a hit and they're ability to help pets that have been thrown out or abandoned has decreased. We, as a society and Columbia as a city, need MORE places like PETS Inc. Until we get more, though, PETS Inc. is a beacon of hope for so many souls, not just animals but people, like my family, who wouldn't be complete without them.

We adopted a dog that we walked volunteering. We were able to experience the entire adoption process and see how caring and detailed the staff is during the process. At all times the best interst of the animal is kept in mind.
Any changes that I would make would only be those that anyone would make, like extra washers and dryers, if there were available funds.

I provide more staff--they seem overwhelmed at times. Too many visitors and too few staff members.
I have experienced adopting animals from Pets Inc and I have participated in a fund raiser with them, seeing the many volunteers and friends of animals working there.
If I could change anything about Pets Inc it would be to see more organization and to get more community support for thier work.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization by fostering wonderful dogs given up by tearful owners who loved their dogs but had abusive husbands. The dogs were given up for protection. At Pets, Inc. they are protected, not put down. These animals all went to new and loving homes.
Find a way to provide more funding so that they can hire great, steady, knowledgeble help, and expand their facilities even further.
adopting animal, buying their pet food, attending fundraisers, donating to the thrift shop, taking supplies when they advertised they were needed, donating money to special cases that needed medical attention.
Just increase the size of volunteers so more animals can be helped.
