Petfinder connected me, my husband and my son to our first and most beloved family dog. It is remarkable how hundreds of thousands of animals are able to find loving homes and families through Petfinder. The ability for shelters and rescues to post adoptable animals and the ease in which prospective families can find their ideal pet as well as facilitate the adoption process brought our dog Jasper to us in 2001. Not only is Petfinder resource for finding family pets, it is also a resource for pet care, health and a celebration of animals. We are searching for our new family dog on Petfinder and know we will find and adopt another cherished pet deserving of a lifelong loving home.

How can you not love a charity that is helping homeless pets find new homes? I found one of my rescues on this site. And it's so easy to use! Love it!

Petfinder.com foundation cares. They care about the animals, and the people that help them. They have helped us improve the lives of so many animals with their support. Thousands of animals die needlessly every day but with the support of Petfinder.com foundation we are chipping away at that number. Their dedication helping the grassroots efforts of shelters and rescues on the has resulted in the lives of many animals being saved. They work to help improve the conditions in shelters buy offering programs and support to the volunteers and workers on the frontlines. They really do care.

They love animals and want to help save their lives! Their donations to our outreach trip made the difference in the lives of shelter animals. Just ask the cold dog who is now sleeping in a nice cozy dog house while waiting for someone to adopt it. Warms my heart how they helped us, a small grassroots group who is trying to improve the lives and chances of shelter dogs and cats in rural areas.

The PetFinder.com Foundation has helped my organization bring supplies to some very under served rescues and shelters in the south and in Appalachia. Without their generous support many of those organizations would not have the tools, food and medical supplies they needed to save animals. We just couldn't help as much as we do without them, can't say enough great things!

I found my rescue dog through petfinder.com. She was 7 years old at the time, considered too old for many to adopt. She'd been through many homes and was in awful physical condition. 7 years later, with some exercise, a better diet, and a lot of love, she's still here with me and I don't know what I would have done without her. Thank you petfinder! The website was user friendly and great, even 7 years ago, and I recommend it to friends all the time.

I am the President of SOS 4 Paws. SOS 4 Paws supports the homeless animals of the Merrimack Valley region in MA. Our adoption rate is high and we could not do this without the existence of PetFinder, an great tool for animal placement. Also, the PetFinder.com Foundation has enabled us, through a grant, to be able to vaccinate cats. PetFinder.Com Foundation's vaccination grant helps the cats to be healthier, makes the shelter safer from potential disease outbreaks, and reduces the overpopulation by finding permanent homes faster.

My Role: Professional with expertise in this field & I wrote and submitted the grant that made it possible for every cat at the Stamford, CT Animal Shelter to be vaccinated against three highly contagious and potentially deathly feline diseases, thereby, helping to prevent future outbreaks in the community.

I am the Treasurer of Outreach to Pets in Need, Inc. (OPIN) OPIN supports the homeless animals of the Stamford CT Animal Shelter and beyond. The Shelter has a 98% adoption rate (the highest in CT) and is a model for other municipal shelters in the Tri-State area. We could not do this without the existence of PetFinder, an incredible tool for animal placement. Furthermore, the PetFinder.com Foundation has enabled us, through a generous grant, to be able to vaccinate every cat that comes through our shelter for Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis and Calicivirus (highly contatious and potentially mortal feline deseases.) The people at the PetFinder.Com Foundation are well organized, efficient, effective, courteous, responsive and incredibly kind.... a model deserving duplication. The grants that they provide are geared towards having a high impact within the community. The vaccination grants do not only help the cats be healthier but also to find faster permanent homes thereby reducing overpopulation at municipal animal shelters, and making the community at large safer from potential desease outbreaks.

The 98% animal adoption rate that the Stamford, CT Animal Care and Control Shelter has would not be possible without the help of PetFinder. We place about 70% of our pets through this incredible data base. Thanks to the vaccines made possible through the PetFinder Foundation grant, we have experienced less cats getting upper respiratory diseases at the Shelter, faster adoptions and happier adopters. Furthermore, with more cats vaccinated, the chances of an outbreak in the community is greatly lessened.

Petfinders.com Foundation has made it possible for us to build a new shelter and save the lives of countless cats and kittens. Their professional staff, well organized web site and experience in the field of finding home for otherwise unwanted pets is a bright spot in our society. This world needs more organizations like Petfinders.

I am a volunteer for Carbon County Friends of Animals. We utilize Petfinder.com to advertise all of the animals available for adoption in our shelter. We also obtained shelter manager software and advertisements from Petfinder.com. In addition, with the help of Petfinder, our shelter obtained a grant to use in the purchasing of kitten vaccinations. Petfinder.com is an exquisite tool for rehoming animals in fur-ever homes. Thank you SO much Petfinder.com. Your assistance is irreplaceable and very appreciated.

We are paperwork pushers. Our file cabinets are full and having so many people filling out forms tends to cause disorganization. I would love to have the shelter completely computerized.

Petfinder as been a very usefule tool for us, as a non-profit shelter, to get out animals placed in good homes. People are able to search for specific animals in their area, which brings in many adoptees that might not have been able to find us before. We usually get 6-10 more animals adopted each month, thanks to this site.
