The work being done at PHH is life-changing--and that's not overstating it. Horses come into the program abused, neglected, starving, suffering. Within weeks PHH transforms these sad, desperate animals into the beautiful, healthy, and loved horses they always deserved to be. And it's not just the horses that benefit from PHH. Every single person who steps into the barn is given the opportunity to grow and learn through their experiences with the horses. There is a spiritual connection that is formed that nourishes one in a way that is hard to describe. As I said before, it is life-changing.

In working with People Helping Horses in a marketing aspect, I came to understand this organization has great vision. The leadership of PHH is constantly innovating how best to help the horses and the people who want to give to them, and how to do that most effectively. Their care and desire for all involved, horse and human, goes way beyond basic care and feeding, they truly get a second chance at a wonderful life.

Gretchen and her team have had to deal with the economic downturn just like many other non-profits. With donations down they have gone to work advocating for the horses and are winning the fight. They will continue to do so with their supporters help.
