I started as a foster at Peggy Adams; 6 kittens! They provide a playpen, food and litter...all you provide is love and care! We ended up adopting one of those kittens. Jay helped us with the adoption and everything went smoothly. Then we went back for a playmate for her when our older cat passed. Jay again to the rescue!!! The entire team at Peggy Adams. If you aren't looking for a full commitment, but want to have animals in your life; contact Shannon about fostering. If you want to have a friend for life...jay is the man! Thanks to everyone I didn't mention in here...because from the volunteer greeters to the veterinarians this shelter is top notch.
We were foster parents for a cat and her four kittens. It was a wonderful experience. The training and support we received from the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League was first rate. They provided excellent followup and guidance to make sure the animals were doing well and in hands.
I have been volunteering at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League for close to 15 years, if not longer. I have watched this organization grow to become one of the most respected and popular shelters around. When volunteering I have had people stop me in the adoption areas stating that they have never been to such a clean shelter. They also comment to me how healthy our animals look. I can say with certainty that everyone that now works at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League are there because of their love for the animals. Our dogs get quality time from the staff and volunteers when taken out for their daily walks and play time. We also have play groups for the dogs. We have free roaming cats, large glass runs for our cats and large condos. This is truly a wonderful and caring organization.
Having been involved with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League for nearly 20 years, I am in the fortunate position of having watched this organization bloom into a major force for animal welfare both locally and nationwide. In that time I have received and seen others receive an unbelievable level of support and services. My roles have been as a trapper of community cats, an adopter and a foster volunteer. The staff are genuine, the leadership has its priorities in order and they are excellent stewards of the time, talent and funds donated to them. It is an absolute privilege to to have this resource in the community.
I have been involved with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League for many years both as an adopter and as a foster volunteer. This organization has proven itself to be well run, a strong and inclusive leader in the community and has forward looking vision with programs that are making a real impact on animal population and welfare.
I have been fostering for Peggy Adams for a few years now, and have always had a wonderful experience with them. All the employees are very kind and helpful, and they really care about the animals. I recently adopted a 5 year old cat and was thrilled with the fact that they were able to tell me about the cat's personality and behavior,so I would feel comfortable with the adoption. She is a great cat and a welcome addition to my home. I would recommend Peggy Adams to anyone looking to adopt a furry friend!
After walking dogs @ Peggy o days- you get to know each dogs personality. That said, it became apparent that Bugsy was waiting for us to find him. He was so well socialized through daily doggy playdates @ Peggy that his persoanlity is true blue! Clearly, he was our dog! Even though we never intended to adopt, this little guy immediately expanded our daily happiness from the first hour!
One week in and alot of one on one trust building- we have visited the beach, 2 dog parks, and many long walks- followed many naps!! Long story Long - WOW! We can't recommend Peggy Adams enough for what ever positive furry contact you are looking for!!!! See you at the Dog Park!! Jeff and Lisa
I have fostered kittens for the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League and I recently adopted my puppy from them as well! They do a great job helping animals in our community. I think the spay/neuter program where they catch feral cats, fix them, and then return them is great; it's doing a lot of good to help reduce the number of stray cats. The medical treatment for animals is very fairly priced there, and the staff has been very helpful to me.
I have been volunteering at Peggy Adams go about 18 months. This is a wonderful well run nonProfit that does so much for the animals in the community. From adoptions , spay neuter clinics , catch neuter and release for ferals, and community education , dog training etc , there is no facet of animal care they don't address. They have a long history of community support.
We adopted a little kitty from Peggy Adams about a month ago. The staff was friendly and very informative. We love our new addition to our family. Peggy Adams is a wonderful rescue to adopt from.
They are the best place to find your new family member. They have helped me in the process of my salley finding her way into God's gates to heaven and they have helped us find two new family members that have fit into our home with our three dogs. The two new kittens have bonded with our three little ones and they think of themselves as two little dogs.PeggyAdams knows animals very well, they knew exactly which kittens would bond with our three little dogs. I would only use them again to find the right little one for our home. Kite Allih@yahoo.com
