This is an excellent organization! My 11 year old grand-niece is battling rhabdomyosarcoma so pediatric cancer research is of great importance to me, especially at this time. I would be happy to support this organization in their efforts in any way that I can.

My son was diagnosed in 1997 with ALL. I believe PCRF is helping my son ENJOY LIFE. The research that was started years before he was diagnosed is what helped him FIGHT the "C" word. I pray that someday there will be a cure and I know that is what PCRF is working on!!

PCRF is run by a small group of totally dedicated people backed by a large pool of volunteers. Their grants have provided funding for some of the most cutting edge developments in childrens' cancer therapies today & the results of their research are evident in the increased survival rates we now see. Despite PCRF's small size they manage to put on multiple large functions every year by working long hours with great effeciency; the goal is to get the money to where it does the most good! I am a doner, a volunteer & a benefeciary as my son was diagnosed with ALL 23 years ago at age 4 & has been cancer free for 14 years.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
meeting & interacting with the great peoplewho work there or volunteer their time.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Incredibly generous of their time & talents.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
have an enormous impact on the diversity of grants it could fund; cancer has so many facets & therapies have to be designed specifically for each one
Ways to make it better...
we had more room to handle all the card program requirements.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Continuing to expand their outreach & develop different opportunities to involve people who haven't experienced childhood cancer in their own lives.

I was introduced to PCRF almost 20 years ago when my husband was a board member. The growth and commitment of the volunteers has been amazing to watch. I have never seen such a great group of people work so hard and by example attract so many new volunteers who tirelessly work to improve the lives of children with cancer. I am in awe of progress the doctors around the world have made with the help of PCRF.

What a great organization. Bringing together the community to help in the fight against this terrible disease as well as creating an extended family for those who are in the midst of the illness. From my youngest (4 years) to myself (30 something) we will always be supporters.

Any group that attacks childhood cancer gets an A+ in my book. It is so sad that in this day and age that so many kids have to fight the ultimate fight...the fight for their life. Without the help of PCRF many families would be helpless, lost in the crazy world of cancer all while trying to keep their happy face on for their child. My hat goes off to all involved and I was pleased that I had a chance to help out...even in a small way at their last run. The run was so inspirational and uplifting and it was the most well run 10k I have participated in.
