Our company has worked with PCRF for a few years and they have worked to build both an organization that truly cares about its mission as well as one that can professionally interact with the business community. We have been impressed with the clear and consistent communication efforts and appreciate the personal connectivity with the PCRF team. They are able to handle events that range in size of a handful of participants to runnning events with thousands of people garnering local media attention. I highly recommend this organization.

There’s never time or money to do the things we want to do, but when our heart strings are plucked we regret not getting involved sooner. Sadly we all know someone that has dealt with childhood cancer. That’s how I finally got involved, and giving feels great … to be able to look into a child’s eyes and tell them you care about them, that you want for them what they want – a life without cancer. Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation does this everyday with a small army of volunteers committed to the much needed research that has translated into treatments that have taken this almost always fatal disease to a 70% survival rate. How bout that! And I’m helping to make a difference! It is my honor to be involved in this beautiful organization as both a volunteer and contributor.

I volunteered for the Pediatric Research Foundation for the first time in June at their PCRF Western Round-UP. What an absolutely wonderful experience. What a great thing to let them just have fun and enjoy the day. Everything was well organized and top notch. It was absolutely one of the best volunteer experiences I have ever had and very rewarding. The families that attended all thanked us and you could tell by the look on their faces that they were grateful for themselves and their children as they all had a great time. I am watching the calendar of events and in contact with Bonnie to be sure that I can be there to help whenever possible.

I would have to volunteer a lot more at pcrf to make a comment here. They do and have done such wonderful work. I'll let you know next year!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the awesome people I met and it was very rewarding for me personally to see the difference I made in just a day.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all very helpful and friendly. they were all happy to be there making a difference.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Save more lives. Childhood leukemia used to be fatal. Thanks to PCRF they now have a 70% survival rate!

Ways to make it better...

the only way it would have been better is if the event had been longer and I was there the entire day.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Donations, Donations and Donations. The more donations the more work and research can be done to help pcrf save the children who are facing situations that would and do terrify grown ups.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I love this organization. What an incredible difference they make!

The work PCRF has done is remarkable... The organization is unbelievable and the results they have produced speak for themselves! My favorite event they host is the annual 5k / 10k / half marathon race. I personally have participated and captained a team for the past several years... raising several thousands of dollars... nothing compares to the feeling of helping others in need. PCRF does this every day.

I was recently introduced to this organization when our group volunteered at a "Race for the Cure" event. I have volunteered for, as well as participated in, many other fundraising organizations and events, and I have to say that PCRF is as professional and organized as any of those national, HUGELY staffed, organizations. PCRF was in contact with me every step of the way. Thet are an amazing group, doing amazing things for kids in need. What more needs to be said?

I can honestly say that it takes a special person to do run this - I couldn't do anything better than what I saw.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Meeting the people involved with PCRF and seeing how much they care.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

AMAZING people with huge hearts.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help a lot of wonderful, children who really need it.

Ways to make it better...

I can't imagine it being any better- I had such a great time!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

1-exposure in the community: I didn't know they were there until I was actually looking for a children's cancer organization. 2- funding: I believe they rely a lot on donations fron the community for their events, ie: cups for the hydration stations, etc

One thing I'd also say is that...

If you have a chance to stop by an meet the people that put so much time and love into the PCRF, you should. I volunteered at only one event so far, but just that one experience with them was enough to know they are truly good people with great goals!

PCRF is AMAZING! They not only do so much for children with cancer, but they also help and support the families, while staying true to what matters...finding a cure! From their fundraisers to their everyday work, they are a wonderful organization. I have not only seen what they can do first hand, through my cousin who was affected at the age of 3 but is now successfully in remission at 14, but as a volunteer, I am truly impressed.

I had the opportunity of participating in an event to raise funds for PCRF and was amazed to see the positive impact of this organization on the lives of children with cancer and the hope they bring to them and their families. It was truly rewarding being part of an event like this. I definitely will continue supporting the efforts of this organization and hope many people join their cause.
