I was recently introduced to this organization when our group volunteered at a "Race for the Cure" event. I have volunteered for, as well as participated in, many other fundraising organizations and events, and I have to say that PCRF is as professional and organized as any of those national, HUGELY staffed, organizations. PCRF was in contact with me every step of the way. Thet are an amazing group, doing amazing things for kids in need. What more needs to be said?

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I can honestly say that it takes a special person to do run this - I couldn't do anything better than what I saw.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Meeting the people involved with PCRF and seeing how much they care.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

AMAZING people with huge hearts.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help a lot of wonderful, children who really need it.

Ways to make it better...

I can't imagine it being any better- I had such a great time!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

1-exposure in the community: I didn't know they were there until I was actually looking for a children's cancer organization. 2- funding: I believe they rely a lot on donations fron the community for their events, ie: cups for the hydration stations, etc

One thing I'd also say is that...

If you have a chance to stop by an meet the people that put so much time and love into the PCRF, you should. I volunteered at only one event so far, but just that one experience with them was enough to know they are truly good people with great goals!

PCRF is AMAZING! They not only do so much for children with cancer, but they also help and support the families, while staying true to what matters...finding a cure! From their fundraisers to their everyday work, they are a wonderful organization. I have not only seen what they can do first hand, through my cousin who was affected at the age of 3 but is now successfully in remission at 14, but as a volunteer, I am truly impressed.

I have been involved with PCRF since its beginning. I have seen outstanding benefits to children with cancer, their families, hospitals, physicians and nurses. The research generated through this organization has been responsible for new developments in treatments for childhood cancer. I am proud to write this review and support all the research and activities within this organization. I applaud all the staff and volunteers. Ginny Davenport

I participated in the 1/2 marathon this year. The event was very well organized. The expo had a great variety of vendors and were well supported. I picked up a case of the water bottles that request you fill it back up with dimes. That is such a great idea! I passed them out to all my friends and co-workers. Keep up the good work everyone!

I had the opportunity of participating in an event to raise funds for PCRF and was amazed to see the positive impact of this organization on the lives of children with cancer and the hope they bring to them and their families. It was truly rewarding being part of an event like this. I definitely will continue supporting the efforts of this organization and hope many people join their cause.

This is an excellent organization! My 11 year old grand-niece is battling rhabdomyosarcoma so pediatric cancer research is of great importance to me, especially at this time. I would be happy to support this organization in their efforts in any way that I can.

My son was diagnosed in 1997 with ALL. I believe PCRF is helping my son ENJOY LIFE. The research that was started years before he was diagnosed is what helped him FIGHT the "C" word. I pray that someday there will be a cure and I know that is what PCRF is working on!!
