I came to Peace Place with hopes of starting my life over, and free from my hateful husband. I endured abuse from him for years, and when I was finally ready to take the step towards a better future, Peace Place was there for me and my children. Advocates there worked to help me with what I wanted, not some cookie cutter approach. The doors were always open for me and my children to talk to staff. They provided a great deal of support and encouragement during that time in our lives.
