I have a small group of friends called P7, whose mission is to provide Christmas Party to Street Kids in the Philippines, every year we look for a local church to help us organize this (as all of us work abroad). I called Pastor Jack and within 30 minutes I was in his office-- I was impressed with the work they have been doing in Payatas. So, I brought 12 street kids (picked randomly from the streets and from the dump site_last July 2009--asked Pastor Jack and his team to minister to these kids and their family. Payatas Mission Outreach nurtured the 12 kids spiritually and physically for 12 consecutive sundays prior to the Jollibee Christmas Party that we have sponsored (December 2009). To date, almost 1 year after we picked the kids from the dump site/street-- 2 out of the 12 kids have already been baptized. with the 10 kids consistently attending and bringing in more kids to Church. Physical pain and hunger can easily be alleviated, but the emotional and spiritual hunger of these kids cannot easily be aviated without the dedication and passion of Pastor Jack and his team-- in serving Christ through our neighbors. Please support Payatas Mission Outreach.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Payatas Mission Outreach to kids in the dump site and the streets

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

have more integrative medical doctors sent to their center to heal the sick both physically, emotionally and spiritually.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their consistent follow-up on the kids we picked randomly and brought to their center for spiritual and emotional healing. Their constant updates on the progress of the spiritual and physical health of the kids.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Dedicated and passionate.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Build an integrated hospital with a retreat centre for missionary workers and where kids can spend 5 days in a spiritual boot camp.

Ways to make it better...

The kids write some personal letters to their sponsors/donors.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Having more integrated medical practitioners to heal the sick physically, spiritually and emotionally.

One thing I'd also say is that...

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

unfortunately, i only got to meet pastor jack and malou for a few short hours, but in that time, i saw in them people who are uncompromising followers of God. they have a heart for those people and a fire for Jesus. absolutely phenomenal people and organization.
