I have the opportunity of seeing the amazing efforts of a dedicated and knowledgeable staff. I volunteer a few hours a week at PALS. Eileen Minogue as well as all the coordinators have their hearts on their mission, which is to help people in need. I have met some of the pilots and saw first hand that they also have their hearts and wisdom in the right place. Bless them all.

In August 2012, my daughter was hospitalized in North Carolina. Her health took a dramatic down turn. If it was not for PALS she would never have been able to see her sister or grandfather before she passed away. We reached out to them from the hospital in desperation- without the time, energy or resources to be able to bring them to North Carolina. They found them a selfless volunteer to not only fly my elderly father from Long Island, but to also stop in Baltimore to retrieve my daughter. A compassionate pilot became an angel to us. . When you are living a nightmare to have such kind people reach out and throw you a lifeline like that gives you strength. We have never felt so grateful or cared for. These people all do Gods work. We will never forget the irreplaceable gift they gave to us.

My son Peter DeGennaro, was PALS first patient, I cannot express enough how compassionate and giving this organization is. they flew my son from Maine to Boston for treatments, Peter had Leukemia, public transportation was out of the question, and the trip by car was to exhausting for him. unfortunately, Peter lost his battle at age 27. Peter had a transplant and it failed. We got a call that u have 2 to 3 weeks to live. Peter started a bucket list, one of his things was to see his grandfather in NJ, unfortunately he couldn't make the trip here, so PALS stepped up and did a compassion flight and flew my son and his family to NJ. Pete died 3 days later, but thanks to PALS , he fulfilled his bucket list. I will forever be grateful to PALS for the last smiles I saw on my sons face. Thank you

That there is even such a thing as a private flight for families with little means for travel when loved ones are ill and seeking treatment in far-away medical centers is in itself a blessing and Godsend. But PALS far exceeds expectations in quality of flight, courtesy, kindness, empathy, and sheer work ethic in getting you where you have to go WHEN you have to go. You are never treated like a charity case with PALS. From the first person you speak to to arrange a flight (for me that was Karen, and she is wonderful), to the pilot himself (we had a few, but Joe Howley definitely stands out and served us most often), to the beautiful planes, we had nothing but stellar service and endearing commitment to the family. We are forever indebted to this incredibly charitable organization. I cannot say enough about PALS. Thank you for all you do.
Warmly,
Aunt Sara to Easton, Blake, Carter, and Logan :o)

PALS is a wonderful organization that assist patients in getting to treatment facilities through volunteer pilots. I have had the opportunity to see first hand the amazing work they do. The pilots are exemplary and very giving of their time and resources and the staff who coordinate the flights are caring and gracious. This is exactly the type of organization that needs funding so those who can should donate their time or their money. It is professionally run by a highly qualified executive director and knowledgable and dedicated staff coordinators. I have volunteered on a number of occasions and found it to be a most rewarding experience and I would encourage others to get involved in this wonderful organization.
