The Partnership is a source of consistent advice for safe food handling and provides diversity in presentation of messages for various audiences and learning styles. They are the "go-to" source for concise and precise messaging. I appreciate that they are able to serve the public directly as well as educators and other professionals in the field. A collaboration that deserves support of many partners!

I enjoy receiving the Partnership for Food Safety Education e-mails. They are precise and interesting. They are shared with our Food & Beverage cast, as well as displayed in our break rooms for all employees to see. I regularly receive feedaback on how informative they are. The parents even share them with their children....so it is like a domino effect in a very positive way. Thank you for keeping us abreast of the latest in food safety and reminding us of so many safety issues we forget.

I was involved devloping the lessons, experiments, and assessments for the GetBac! program. I helped present the program at the National Press Club in DC and gave workshops at NSTA many years ago. The program is still great, leads to inquiry science learning and integrates common core curriculum content. It's been a great partnership for schools, government agencies, and other places that teach children about food safety.

The PFSE does an excellent job of providing timely food safety information to consumers and serves as a resource to food safety educators nationwide (on a very tight budget!). The four Fight BAC messages (now know as the four Be Food Safe messages) are well known to consumer educators throughout the country due to the work done by the Partnership. I recently parterned with the Partnership on a USDA grant and was impressed by the Director's organization and her ability to get things accomplished, and was pleased with the dissemination activities that were conducted by the PFSE.

It is so important to provide consumers with the food safety information they need to make well informed decisions for keeping themselves and their family safe from foodborne illness. No one does this better than the Partnership for Food Safety Education. As a representative of the food safety regulatory community, I can attest to the real impact the Partnership has on food safety in this country.

I have been involved in the Partnership for over 10 years, the last 2 as a Board member. This organization has grown in that time period because it has focused exclusively on consumer food safety education, and the programs and materials needed to positively affecting consumer behaviors. It is difficult to measure the impact of the Partnership programs, but the reach of the organization is extensive, reaching educators of children and adults through schools, extension services and directly online. The Partnership has succeeded in attracting the support of government agencies, consumer groups, trade associations and organizations and individual companies to a common cause, providing important guidance on the most effective activities, and leveraging the resources of its members. As a result, the Partnership has successfully established itself as a national resource, one that will take on the leadership role in the upcoming national consumer food safety education conference. The Partnership prevents illnesses and saves lives by educating millions of consumers. That's why I support it and why I have chosen to serve on the Board.

For over 12 years now the Partnership for Food Safety Education has been creating, implementing and communicating food safety messages for consumers. They have successfully brought key stakeholders from government, industry, acedemia, and consumer groups together to work collaboratively on this effort. Kudos to all those involved! Keep up the great effort. It's a win for all of us.

The Partnership for Food Safety Education is the only national organization that brings together all stakeholders - consumer groups, the food industry, and government - for the important goal of providing information to consumers to help them prepare and handle food safely in their homes and reduce the risk of foodborne illness. The highly useful materials developed by the Partnership are used by educators all across the country. The Partnership has an important mission that deserves greater recognition.
