Partners For Progress isn’t just about having a good time while doing therapy on horseback. They are all about setting and achieving goals that enrich, enhance and improve the lives of their rider.
I participate in PFP’s “Heroes on Horses” program for our nation’s veterans and active
duty wounded warriors. It has helped me in providing therapy forces me to focus on the moment and not the past or what might happen in the future. The therapy carries over for several hours and comes back throughout the week.
Through Partners For Progress I have been able to participate in the National Snaffle Bit Association’s “Heroes on Horses” class, independent riders category, at their World Show and at other NSBA Horse Show events

My husband I have have volunteered w/PFP for a number of years. We have seen people say their first words & take their first steps here. The physical & cognitive growth we've witnessed is life changing! Our own lives have been just blessed being a small part of this wonderful program! The staff, other volunteers & families that participate @ PFP are a part of us. We are so thankful to be involved w/this amazing program & to experience its wonders!!! (Of course, I have to mention the world-class horses, too!)

I have volunterred for over 4 years with Partners for Progress. With my time there I have been inspired by the participats and the progress they make from this wonderful organization and their dedicated staff and volunteers. I have nothing but good things to say about PFP and all the good that they do.

I have been volunteering for over 5 years for Partners for Progress. The kids with disabilities whom I have helped with the horse therapy program are just heart warming. The kids work so hard and it is a fun way to improve their limitations, their enjoyment of experiencing the love of horses and feeling normal at a sport that is exciting. I have always loved horses and kids. Two of my nieces in California have servere disabilities, so I know first hand how great horse therapy can be. My 14 year old niece Cali walked for the first time last spring. The doctors had said she would always be a vegetable. But her parents have pushed the limits and she is so much better than expected. Her younger sister is now doing even better. Sincerely, Bonnie Beyersdorf, PFP volunteer.

Our association with Partners for Progress has been a life changing experience for our 27 yr. old autistic son. He started riding with PFP almost 7 years ago and has become a "part of their family". When he started riding with them, he had never been on a horse, and didn't want to even try. However, he was given no choice and quickly we realized it was going to become his passion. We, along with the PFP staff, saw that he had a special connection with the horses and that he was learning, and loving, the entire experience of being with them. So after a couple of years, he was hired by PFP to work there 5 days/week, as well as spend time volunteering with the program. He also became part of their horse show team. His social interactions and communication have improved greatly, and what seemed to be a limited future has now become a pathway to freedom and independence. PFP has provided the spark that is making such a huge transformation in him and enabling his future. He loves his job and the people he works with, and most of all the horses ! We thank the staff and director of the organization for all that they've done for our son. They truly have changed his life.

My son, who has autism, has been riding at Partners For Progress for about 2 years. They are a wonderful group of people. Andrew can be challenging to deal with but the staff there really know how to handle him and his behaviors. His motor skills have improved alot and has a strong core from the hard work he does. Despite the fact he really dislikes animals, he really enjoys the sensory input he gets from riding. We are very grateful to have them around!

Partners for Progress is a fantastic organization. I heard about it from a co-worker and have been volunteering ever since. The trainers are so knowledgable and nurturing. Getting to see how they work with each individual rider in a unique way is amazing. There's just such an overwhelmingly genuine feeling of wanting to help others that I love every minute that I spend at the barn and other events. I feel so blessed to be involved with such a terrific group of people.
