This organization is a scam. Management has created a massive cash cow on the backs of vagrants and a naive community that send in their hard earned money as donations. Get the facts at www.movethemission.wordpress.com

I don't want this to seem to be a biased review ,but I am a Staff Member with Panama City Rescue Mission ,but moved in from out of state ,this is the 3rd mission I have been affiliated with , have never met a more family centered professional staff and I truly believe that is because of the heart of Rev. Billy Fox he truly LOVES the guests that stay with us and will go to the "inth" degree to protect and defend the homeless and that love and respect shines through his staff .
I am so proud to be a part of the Panama City Rescue Mission, and I am so excited to see where we are going ,So I will just Sit Down, Shut up and Hang on.

Each time I have an opportunity to work at the Rescue Mission or on Mission events or projects I leave feeling blessed. The staff has everything so organized that they make it easy to do our job as a volunteer. I enjoy working with the mission guests and I enjoy any chance to get to know them a little better.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

getting to know the people not just the guests but also the great staff.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

generous and kind hearted, always willing to do whatever is necessary to make the event fun and successful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make a huge impact on peoples lives.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time to work at the mission.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

in the economy it's hard to make ends meet so lack of donations are always a problem but God always provides. Also a better understanding from the community would be a big help.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Take the time to tour the mission and Bethel Village. You will be amazed at all the great things that you learn.

I was so pleasantly surprised by all the great things they are doing to help members of our community. I am a Sergeant with the local Police Department and I hear officers receive call to the Rescue Mission with some frequency. Since that occurs it is easy to assume the worst of the Rescue Mission. I was invited to see for myself and was shocked. The are a very valuable asset to our community and they help so many people. I learned of the 550 meals they were serving in a day. I learned about the programs they have to get people back on their feet with jobs. I learned about the programs they have for women and I saw all those things first hand. God Bless the men and women who take on the challenge of helping the needy and not just talk the talk but walk the walk. I have also worked with the Rescue Mission in a food drive called United We Can and have learned of their Christmas Tree Lighting program and Bethel House.

continue to care for our community and possibly help more men and women that need their assistance.
