PAL Animal Sanctuary (dba PAL Humane Society) was formed in October 1993 by a small group of people who were concerned about the well being of the unwanted animals of the Victor Valley. On February 4, 1994 the State of Califonia and the Federal Government granted PAL their non-profit status. PAL provides care, refuge and new homes for abandoned, abused and owner relinquished animals, works with the senior community by providing pet food each month for over 374 senior's pets and with grants provides medical care for indigent seniors pets. PAL has an extensive humane education program (schools, libraries, prisons) and welcomes school age children as volunteers to enrich their lives through animals. PAL has a Humane Officer on staff (one of two in San Bernardino County) for cruelty investigations. Our short term goal is to develop a spay/neuter program using vouchers, and to continue our work with the seniors of our community by offering more services.

Reviews for Pal Animal Sanctuary

Rating: 5 stars

We were impressed with the dedication of the workers and the overall operation of the organization. The cleanliness of the facility stood out, as well as how orderly everything was. The lady in charge of the sanctuary not only was concerned with the present - day-to-day operations, maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant - but it was obvious that she had a vision on where she wanted to take the organization in the future. Overall very positive feeling from an organization filling what is generally viewed by society as a sad and negative function, i.e. abandoned pets. We made a sizeable donation and later donated all the grooming equipment we had used on our two pet dogs.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

We've observed newspaper ads by this organization and have been favorably impressed by them.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

In a perfect world there would be no need for this organization, but our world isn't perfect by a long shot. With more money, workers, and a larger facility, more abandoned animals could be cared for.

What would we do without folks like those at PALS to help animals who can't help themselves. I wish there were not so many people to who abuse and abandon their innocent peds. Kudos to PALS Apple Valley, CA.
