Reviews for Our Military Kids Inc

Rating: 1 stars

DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU READ ON THIS SITE. Great Nonprofits deletes reviews that the NGO does not believe are favorable. The delete reviews that are honest and truthful, while leaving reviews that they know are lies. The organize the reviews via a title called ‘featured reviews’. In doing so they deceive the potential donor and deny him/her from finding out the truth about these NGOs.

Do you really believe that sites receive 150-5 star reviews and never received anything other than 5 star/ Haha!

Most of the ‘top rated’ NGOs pay Great NonProfits to keep their reviews ‘clean’. Look deep and look further that this site to evaluate an NGO. Investigate before you generously give up your hard earned money. Great NonProfits partners with NGOs, which make it difficult to find the facts. The deck is stacked against you. They allow the NGOs logo and and an advertisement from each NGO. That should tell you a LOT!!

I served as a Child, Youth and School Services Liaison to a Wounded Warrior Unit at Fort Gordon, GA for 4 years. Our unit served approximately 350 to 400 Wounded Soldiers. Our Soldiers were very excited to have an opportunity to give something to their children for their sacrifices. Our Military Kids provided my soldiers this opportunity. So many soldiers visited my office and thanked me on behalf of their children. They were very excited when their children received the certificate and patch as well as the scholarship. The Our Military Kids staff were wonderful people to work with. They cared deeply for Soldiers and their children. Military children pay a great price in the service of their country with little to no recognition but Our Military Kids remembers and recognizes their sacrifices and says "thank you" in a big way! On behalf of my Soldiers and their children I say Thank You for all you do!

As a therapist that works with military children on a regular basis, I have seen multiple families benefit from the wonderful opportunities provided by Our Military Kids. They make deployment easier to bare.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Go back to providing grants for 3 and 4 year olds.
