OFA means HOPE for everybody it touches: for the children that will go home to loving families; for the families who have found that child they've yearned to love; and for the countless Congolese children living their childhoods in orphanages that OFA strives to support. This group of 100% volunteers puts improving the lives of children absolutely first. I chose this group to help facilitate our adoption because working ethically, transparently, and with sensitivity to the Congolese people are their priorities. Adopting a child through OFA means establishing a life-long relationship with volunteers who will continue to work to provide orphaned children with food, medical care, shelter, clothing and, most importantly, hope.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the character & integrity of the volunteers helping me to adopt my son. I've seen & read personal accounts of aid delivered directly to the children who are in need. I look forward to traveling myself to DRC to bring formula, food & supplies as directed by OFA.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

provide them with more volunteers & funding.

OFA helped my family bring our daughter home in November 2010. Without their help we would have been lost in the red tape required for international adoption. The contacts OFA had in the DRC helped tremendously while my husband was in-country.

OFA is an unsung hero in the fight to change this world. The volunteers of this organization are touching the lives of hundreds of orphaned children, in some cases enabling them to leave the life of sorrows in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. My wife and I are priveledged to be served by this organization and to be serving with them. Some time in the next few months we will receive a phone call that it is time for us to jump on a plane, fly to Africa, and pick up our SON. Excitement doesn't even begin to explain our joy right now. As for the orphans left behind: OFA and people like my familiy, will continue to support, finance, and give our lives as we can to provide for the orphan children of the DRC and to carve a chance for them to succeed in this world. Thank you OFA for all that you do! Thank you God for this GREAT organization!

OFA helped us bring home our daughter from DRC in April 2010. We have also volunteered for the organization as an escort for other adoptive families. OFA"s passion for helping the kids of DRC is evident in everything they do. They help families through the adoption process, raise awareness of the plight of orphans in DRC, and coordinate the donation of many needed items such as baby formula. Our family values the work that OFA does and we have been continually impressed with their integrity and dedication to the mission of helping children in DRC>

OFA is the most competent, caring, and professional group of people I have ever worked with. I have been so impressed with the quick, informative, and thoughtful responses to all of my questions and concerns during the adoption process. It is so inspiring that they are all volunteers! Wow!!! This organization is proof that just a handful of passionate and purposeful people really can change the world for the better.

I discovered OFA several months ago while researching international adoptions, and was so impressed with their efforts to support the orphans of DRC that I jumped at the chance to volunteer with them. They are one of the very few organizations that facilitate adoptions on a volunteer basis, and it demonstrates perfectly their heart for the orphans and their desire that every cent go to lifesaving formula, food, and medical care for the orphans left behind.

Now, I feel blessed to call OFA the facilitator for the adoption of our son from DRC. The director and volunteer staff are extremely thorough, honest, and helpful, with huge hearts and pure motives. They are truly making a difference in the Congo, and I'm proud to be a part of it.

OFA has been helping facilitate the adoption of my child for the past 10 months. During that time I've been in contact with a few of the volunteers and each has been wonderful. They genuinely care about the children of Congo and their well being. I feel proud to be associated with them. They set realistic expectations instead of promising the world and I know that with their continued help we will be able to bring our daughter home very soon.

OFA is an all-volunteer organization that cares for orphans in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They have facilitated almost one hundred adoptions from DRC as a way to raise awareness of the needs of the children there. OFA has provided the orphans food, medical care, education and many other necessities for a better life. We adopted our son last year with the help of OFA. He is such a blessing to our family, and our experience with this organization has opened up our hearts to the beautiful people in the DRC. We know that because of Our Family Adoptions, many lives are forever changed.

OFA has been facilitating the adoption of our second son from Africa. They have been so hardworking and helpful, and we know that they are working because they care so much about helping orphans. They do more than assist adoptions- they are working to improve the lives of all the children they come in contact with- whether those children will find homes in the US or not. We have so much respect for their efforts.

We used OFA for the adoption of our third child. The experience was absolutely wonderful. It is completely run by volunteers and the director worked tirelessly on our behalf. I love the fact that OFA's primary goal is to help the orphans left behind in DRC and to that end, does not profit in any way from the adoption portion (or any part) of their program.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The adoption of our child, seeing hundreds of orphans receive clothing, food, mattresses, and education.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Establish a permanent feeding program where we could make monthly contributions to make sure orphanages were getting food so the children could eat every day.
