Great organization that trains people for real world skills. Around the globe ORT schools give the help needed in that area and for the current job market.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Visiting schools, meeting students, experiencing leadership development, seeing how ORT strengthens communities

More feedback...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

educate the world

ORT America works in support of the programs and projects across the global ORT network, all geared to the needs and circumstances of the local communities but all of which work toward a single mission of changing lives through education. But one of the things that I find MOST admirable about ORT (the individual organizations as well as the individual projects) is that they keep working at something long after attention has shifted elsewhere.

They are still on the ground more than five years after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

As the first (and second) wave of Haitian relief begins to recede, they are ramping up, laying ground work for new, "hit the ground running" desperately needed educational infrastructure in Haiti

And now - in that same way - their updates from Chile continue as attention is focused on next steps and future needs.

It shows that they are committed to sustaining programs and continuing support however long it is needed - no easy feat at the best of times but especially now in our current economic climate.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting the staff and students at schools all over the world.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

increase the classroom capacity in schools already bursting at the seams in Argentina, Italy and the Baltic States as well as provide more online classes and training for students unable to attended classes because of health or financial limitations.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months
