Kenyan school outreach program
The Kenya Prehistory Club of the National Museums of Kenya needs $15,000 to purchase a van for its School outreach program and $15,000 to provide paid internships for Kenyan youth.
The program brings senior researchers to poor and remote public schools so that young Kenyans can learn the theory of evolution, the critical role of Kenya’s prehistory collections and archeological sites for continued research into the history of humanity and the importance of schooling. In a country where most children drop out of school by 8th Grade, the program is a unique attempt to encourage children to stay at school.
The program also provides work experience and paid internships to students.
