Never has there been a group of people so dedicated and committed to such an important cause. Their passion for the Orang Utan community is not only immeasurable but also addicting. The incredible research that has been done by these folks on the habitats and preservation of these fantastic creatures would amaze anyone! After hearing several hands-on experts speak along with their extremely informative video presentations, I knew right away that as long as this Foundation is around and supported , that Orang Utans would have the best chance to be protected and nurtured. What a wonderful, professional, well organized, educated and essential cause to protect such beautiful creatures!!

Without OURF there might not be any of these majestic animals left in the wild in our lifetime! Education and awareness are the key elements needed to protect orangutans. OURF is doing a great job of BOTH.

After my first visit to Borneo and seeing wild and rehabilitated orangutans both, I wanted to know more about how to help save these amazing animals. After researching numerous organizations that claim to help orangutans, I chose the ORANG UTAN REPUBLIK FOUNDATION because they are going after the ROOT of the problem which is the education of the very people that can save them. While on a layover at LAX Dr. Shapiro even drove to the airport to meet with me to discuss the organization and how to best help out.

I applaud and greatly respect the fine work this organization is doing to protect both habitat and those who call it home -- our orangutan cousins in the wild! I've had the pleasure of working with OURF founder Dr. Shapiro on a shared-use project that gives local farmers an incentive to keep the forest intact while learning how to respect the orangutans that live there. These and other "all win" models reflect the talent and spirit of innovation that benefits all stakeholders. I highly recommend supporting this organization's excellent and important work.

Orang Utan Republik Foundation is an incredible organization that works tirelessly to save endangered orangutans. They educate people about what amazing beings orangutans are, and about the importance of protecting them and the habitat they live in. Education is one of the most effective ways to achieve long-term positive change, and there's no doubt that OURF's work is helping to improve the future of the orangutan!
