Mission: To provide safe emergency shelter and intervention services for minors in riverside county with our transitional living program which provides services and housing to youths 11-21.
Programs: The organization provides safe emergency shelter, intervention services and transitional housing opportunities for youth in riverside county. The riverside emergency shelter provides short term emergency shelter for up to 17 youth at a time, ages 11-17 and provides shelter to over 600 youth annually. 80% of them return home safely or to another safe environment. The coachella valley emergency shelter, opened in january 2008 has 20 beds and is able to serve as many as 700 youth annually in the eastern end of riverside county. The riverside agency operates a 20 bed transitional living program designed to serve youth for up to 18 months in a supervised setting. This program, for older homeless youth ages 18-21 allows for shelter, job training, education, counseling and intensive life skills training. Approximately 80% of the participants graduate to permanent housing.
