'What the world needs now is Love sweet Love", and I would add to that song, more gratitude.

Having been a member of many non-profits I appreciate all the work that goes into keeping them up and running.

My Dad, husband and all 3 sons served in the military and anyone who serves
their country deserves respect and gratitude.

I love reading about all the packages and letters that go out to our troops, wherever they are.

I'm planning on getting into the letter writing part of it and a friend is joining me.

Thanks for listening.

I first became familiar with Operation Gratitude 2 years ago. Operation gratitude helps each year with our Halloween Candy Buyback. The candy we collect after Halloween through our dental office is sent to OG where it is dispersed to overseas troops in care packages. They also sponsored a contest to guess how much candy they would collect this year. I won that contest and received $1000 to donate to my local school and a camera that I plan to offer as a prize for next year's candy buyback. Our candy collection is successful because of Operation Gratitude!

I work at Operation Homefront, a different military support nonprofit. Our mission and the mission of Operation Gratitude compliment one another, and we're proud to be an active partner of Operation Gratitude for the benefit of our military men and women. They have a great focus, a great team of volunteers, and a great history of improving the lives of troops. From their founder down to their volunteers, this is a great organization that truly makes a difference.

I have three children in the military - one each in the Air Force, California National Guard and Army - and it means the world for them to receive the "care" packages sent to them when they are deployed in service to our country. Thanks Operation Gratitude for keeping our soldiers spirits high while they take care of all of us.

I have two sons serving in the Navy and a friend serving with the Marines in Afgahnistan. I can't tell you what it means to get one of these packages from home when they are so far away serving our country. Operation Gratitude keeps them going....no one likes to be forgotten...especially when they volunteered to put themselves in harms way to keep the rest of us safe. If you are looking for a GREAT and WORTHWHILE cause OPERATION GRATITUDE IS AT THE TOP OF MY LIST!
