Operation Bandanas is a wonderful non-profit organization that wholeheartedly loves the American troops! The founder, Mary Gray, is married to a retired US Soldier and has three sons who have served or who are serving in the military. She understands the military life and wants to encourage every soldier she can through this God inspired organization. The money given for each bandana is well spent to support the troops in their Faith in the One True God! Praise Him for His inspiration in this organization!
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... the form of letters from the troops who have been touched by the Scripture on each bandanda supplied by Operation Bandanas! God's word never comes back void.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... the changed lives I've seen.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... very friendly and held the same purpose at heart of supporting our troops in their volunteer efforts.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... help change the lives of every military family though God's word in the most challenging circumstances faced!!
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... N/A
- If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… keep Mary Gray as the leader and visionary.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... getting the word out about the organization.
- One thing I'd also say is that... if you have a heart to support the military who are fighting for our freedom, and if you have a heart for getting God's word to others, then the price of each $3.00 bandana is a very small price to pay to make a difference!

After 28 years on Active Duty as a Chaplain I have worked with many non-profits org., I would place "Operation Bandanas" #1 With an attitude of selfless service Operation Bandanas has faithfully for the last four year provide thousands of "Psalms 91" Bandanas free of charge to my deploying soldier. As the unit's chaplain I have seen in the faces of our soldiers, renewed hope, encouragement and heart felt appreciation. There are hundred of volunteers in the shadows of Operation Bandanas who give freely of their time talent and treasures to bring our Soldiers closer to God and God closer to our Soldiers

I was a Board Member & I helped Mary raise donations to purchase bandanas. I meet monthly with her board to help provide guidance for the ministry.

I was in the Sunday school class where Mary Gray first announced that the Lord was calling her to establish the Bandanas ministry. Our Sunday school class has helped her raise money to purchase bandanas for the soldiers every since that day. I am one of the original board members and have watched in amazement how that we have gone from trying to raise funds to purchase the first 100 bandanas to now having given 100,000 bandanas to soldiers all over the world. The life changing testimonies from both the soldiers who receive these "free" bandanas and from the chaplains who distribute them are so encouraging to Mary, her board members, and all christians who know about this ministry. The Lord is truly in this ministry as it has now spread all over the USA. Mary has spread the message about this ministry through issuing a monthly news letter, traveling all across the country telling about the ministry, & writing numerous articles about the ministry. People, organizations & churches all over the country are now raising money to purchase bandanas with a goal of giving a bandanas to every deployed soldier.
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... reviewing life changing letters & videos from soldiers and chaplains who have received/given out a bandanas.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... watching the Lord lead & direct this ministry to the point that we have now distributed over 100,000 bandanas to deployed soldiers.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... concerned christians who cared about reaching deployed soldiers for Christ.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... purchase Psalm 91 bandanas for all the soldiers of every country in the world,
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... I could have been there when a deployed soldier received a bandanas.
- If I had to make changes to this organization, I would… not change a thing. The Lord is in control of this ministry.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... contining to find ways to raise funds to purchase additional Psalm 91 bandanas.
- One thing I'd also say is that... we would welcome anyone who would like to join us in helping us raise funds to purchase Psalm 91 bandanas for all US deployed soldiers.
I was a Client Served & ordered Bandanas to be sent to soldiers

My son was in Iraq in 2006 and again in 2008 with USMC. When he deployed in '08, a friend of mine sent us a Bandana with the 91st Psalm on it....John folded it and put it between his heart and his flak jacket and wore it every day on missions. When he came home it smelled sooooo bad! (He was there Feb-Sept) I washed it, ironed it and had it framed for him for Christmas! He cried when he opened it and now has it hanging in his new home! Now, whenever I know of a soldier being deployed, I try to get a Bandana in his/her hand. It is a wonderful "witnessing" tool, I have had so many letters from soldiers thanking me. I know there have been seeds sown and God is watering, nurturing!! This is an amazing Ministry!!
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... Knowing how much it meant to my Son....watching God protect him!! Also, the feedback I have received from other soldiers!!
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... Whenever I order Bandanas, whether it is one or enough for a Platoon, they arrive very quickly!!
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Mary Gray is the person I correspond with, she is very professional and prompt. Also, I have friends who meet and fold these Bandanas, package them to be sent to soldiers.
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... Put one of these Bandanas in every Military personnel!!
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Money to operate on
I was a Donor & Purchased bandanas for our son's platoon

We are thankful we came across Operation Bandana on line last Fall. We have a son heading to Afghanistan in 4 weeks so we purchased enough bandanas for his platoon. We believe the greatest gift we can give to those who serve in harms way is the Word of God. Operation Bandana has made this easy to do by having Psalm 91 written on the bandanas as a daily reminder to our soldiers that God loves them and that he is hiding them under His wing.
Operation Bandana also makes it easy for those in the community to show appreciation to those who serve our county. Donations are necessary to cover the cost and shipping of the bandanas and giving, on-line through pay pal, makes it easy to say thanks.
A special thanks to Mary Gray for helping the West Point Prayer and Share group in Dallas be able to make a difference in the lives of our own sons and daughters and those they lead.

- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Lack of funds. I hope everyone gives and gives and gives.
