I work with many college and university faculty and staff that are concerned about the effects of combat stress and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on their campuses and in their classrooms. ONE Freedom's presentations (1 hour-90 minute overviews on the effects stress and trauma, particularly in combat zones) has proved to be INCREDIBLY helpful in facilitating civilian perceptions and understanding of what Post Traumatic Stress actually is, and what it means. I have seen many campus administrators have an "A-Ha" moment when the ONE Freedom presenters have explained the physiological response of the body to prolonged stressors. I would recommend ONE Freedom to anyone who is wondering what "PTSD actually is", as their approach is so effective in normalizing and de-stigmatizing the effects. I have told many, many people about this great organization and the phenomenal work they are doing!

I recently got to see the work One Freedom does and I was truly amazed and inspired. I kept thinking if the whole world learned what they have to offer we might find ourselves in a more peaceful place.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

that it made me look at trauma and our ability to overcome trauma in a whole new way.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Kind and patient.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Let the world know that they can overcome the trauma they have experienced and physically enable them to let that happen.

I attended a workshop/presentation of ONE Freedom at a recent American College Personnel Association (ACPA) convention that I attended. Serving veterans on college campuses has received much needed attention over the last 10 years and Elizabeth provided invaluable resources to many college professionals on how we can better assist veterans on our campuses. Her message also related to non-veterans and the stressors that many of us are under. I know that ONE Freedom is making a difference because it made an impact on my personal and professional life. I encourage them to continue reaching out and educating individuals who serve our veterans. Thank you!
