I am a local law enforcement officer and I have partnered with Omni Youth Programs for the past 10 years in many of their programs and special events. Omni Youth Programs provides much needed prevention programs and resources for families and teens in the Sacramento area. They are consistent in their professionalism and caring of the community as a whole. I look forward to a continued partnership with Omni Youth Programs and the wonderful work they are doing in the Sacramento area.

I've had the privilege to volunteer with both programs from OmniYouth, P.A.S.A. and Strengthening Families and both programs have taught me a lesson I will take with me where ever I may go; that everyone goes through their own personal struggles and turmoils but we are all here to help one another.

Omni Youth Programs has been an amazing experience for me. This nonprofit has multiple programs that are all curriculum based and are effective in achieving their intended goal. I have been with Omni Youth Programs as a volunteer for a little over a year now and not only does this program change other people's lives but it has changed mine. I have volunteered in the Peers Against Substance Abuse (PASA) program and that was such an enjoyable program for the kids and it taught them valuable life skills that can change their lives. Strengthening Families is another equally wonderful program that I have been involved with. I have gotten the chance to be a part of the youth, parent, and childcare sections and I have enjoyed every bit of it. The families end up loving the program and finding that they really benefitted from getting involved. Overall, Omni Youth Programs makes a difference in our community!

Omni Youth Programs is an oustanding program for young children and families. I am proud to have been a part of the team for almost five years. The curriculm teaches the children that they have choices in life and each choice has a consquence. It was exciting to see the expressions on the children's faces while playing the many different board games or during the puppet show when they realized that they did not have to follow the crowd. They had a choice!

I have been with Omni for the last three years. There is nothing more rewarding than to see the children's face light up when they see us. The Omni's approach to teaching the children about drugs, peer pressure and gangs is amazing. Though board games and real life role playing, the children learn what happens when they decide to use drugs or join a gang. Omni gives them fudamental steps on how to say "NO" to peer pressure. Omni's quarterly data shows that the children's behavior improves after having Omni in their classes and for that my hat is off to all the counselors.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

going to the 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes, I personally saw the growth with the children

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would give them enough money so that they could reach more children

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with the children as well as all the people at Omni, it is like one big HAPPY FAMILY

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all in it for the benefit of the children

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach more children and communities, have rallies.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time to commit

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

not enough money

One thing I'd also say is that...

I love, love, love this organization

Joining the Omni Youth team was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I volunteer for Strengthening Families, and there is nothing better than watching families come together and learn how to communicate and become aware of each other's feelings. Strengthening Families gives families the tools they need to build a strong support system, and it is an amazing experience to be able to witness families grow. Omni Youth is a fantastic program, and I highly recommend it to families of all types and backgrounds!

I just have to say that it was an amazing experience getting to volunteer for Omni Youth Program! I was giving the opportunity to work with family's and to be able to see the transformation when they first arrive at the program to the ending results is amazing and very touching. They truly make a difference in family's lifes. I would totally recommend families that are in need of help and looking to make a difference in their lives.

Thanks so much ladies for giving me the opportunity to be part of the Omni Family!

I see the results of the programs- students who seem to learn the dangers of drugs and gangs and students who learn to make connections with others.

Being able to witness the grouwth of the students.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Coming into my first day at P.A.S.A., our drug and gang prevention program, I was so nervous and didn't think I could make a difference. As I looked around the room at my other coworkers, I realized that this time we share with the kids is not about me, but about making a difference in their lives. Every time we leave a classroom we have made a difference and that is truly the best moment.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

possible impact on high risk children.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get more funding.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

going into the children's classroom and making a difference.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

great, amazing and outgoing!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

service more school districts and target the family as a whole more.

Ways to make it better...

we could target more students.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting more funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I've enjoyed meeting so many amazing people who all have similar interests and having a child trust in you and value you. The staff and volunteers are very friendly, positive, approachable, understanding, genuine and welcoming. The only thing I wish were different was that I could have heard about it earlier!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the positive impact on the children and how they feel like they have someone who will listen.

this program really helps children open up and learn to talk to elders about there problems be it drugs, gangs, peer pressure or anything they have questions about. from the time they sit in the classroom with the kids they get to know them and talk to them about any of their problems. this is a great way to teach children what they wont normally learn in the classroom and i think that all kids should experience this program and the counselors.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

ive personally been in the classroom with the kids and listened to what some of the children are going through and was able to give them feedback and help them with thier situation
