Review from Guidestar

I see the results of the programs- students who seem to learn the dangers of drugs and gangs and students who learn to make connections with others.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

by seeing how it effects the students.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Being able to witness the grouwth of the students.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

polite and professional.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach more students and work more with families.

Coming into my first day at P.A.S.A., our drug and gang prevention program, I was so nervous and didn't think I could make a difference. As I looked around the room at my other coworkers, I realized that this time we share with the kids is not about me, but about making a difference in their lives. Every time we leave a classroom we have made a difference and that is truly the best moment.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

possible impact on high risk children.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get more funding.

going into the children's classroom and making a difference.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

great, amazing and outgoing!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

service more school districts and target the family as a whole more.

Ways to make it better...

we could target more students.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting more funding.

I've enjoyed meeting so many amazing people who all have similar interests and having a child trust in you and value you. The staff and volunteers are very friendly, positive, approachable, understanding, genuine and welcoming. The only thing I wish were different was that I could have heard about it earlier!

this program really helps children open up and learn to talk to elders about there problems be it drugs, gangs, peer pressure or anything they have questions about. from the time they sit in the classroom with the kids they get to know them and talk to them about any of their problems. this is a great way to teach children what they wont normally learn in the classroom and i think that all kids should experience this program and the counselors.

I have just started working as an internship counselor and I absolutely love it. The staff is GREAT. They are always working hard to help the program, checking in on the counselors to see how we're doing, and they really make it a great environment to work with. The kids that we work with are already struggling with pressures at their young ages and I feel that the PASA program has really made an extremely well thought of itinerary for the children to enjoy and learn from.

Due to donations, the organization was able to provide each child with their own boardgame. PASA encouraged the children to go home and play with their families at least once a week. PASA would be able to provide more ways for families to talk/interact.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time
