As a newly diagnosed patient with NTM, I have found the NTMir website to be very helpful. In fact, it is the only practical information for quality of life issues on the internet! I also attended the inaugural Washington, DC, support group lunch, and I found it to be extremely affirming. We are in this together, and it was so great to be able to ask questions and see the nods in understanding! Thank you for your work to shine a light on NTM and how it changes lives.

Highlight even more practical advice for people newly diagnosed with NTM. I can't seem to get enough information to feel comfortable with the major medical treatment I am about to begin. Launch an electronic "mentoring" program, pairing newly diagnosed patients with others who have blazed the trail for the specific treatment regimens.

I have attended Participation 2008 and seen the high energy of the organization's staff and the caring and concern expressed by them as well as the doctors who volunteer their time and effort to speak in public as well as to treat patients.
