This community is blessed to have the NHCO. From the Executive Director, Fay Morgan, to the employees and numerous volunteers - you won't find more motivated, caring individuals that work tirelessly to make the lives of those in need better.

I have not been a direct recipient of the many services offered by the NHCO. I do, however, see the positive impact on the community.

The world would be a better place if all communities had an organization like NHCO. They give you a sense of family, knowing someone is there for you if in need.

NHCO is a wonderful service organization that provides critical help to families in the North Hills communities. I am personally acquainted with members of their staff and several of their board members, and am continually amazed at the good work they do with limited resources. The world needs more people and organizations like this - caring, honest, resourceful, reliable and just downright good! When they don't have the resources they need to accomplish their mission, they look for other non-profits to partner with to achieve their goals.

I work for another non-profit and needed help finding housing for someone who was losing their home and NHCO helped me to find the right agency to help the client.

Give them $10 million to help more people in need!

I had made a desparation call for help. The lady that answered my call was very understanding to my needs and we had made an appointment for a meeting. The lady I met with walked me through all my options and finally agreeing on a plan of action, she showed me there was a light at the end of the tunnel. That lady's name is Nicole M. Davis. Speaking from experience,I feel she is such a valuable assett to your organization and a Godsend ,along with your orginization,to me and my 20 yo pregnent daughter. My daughter and I would love to personally thank all of you who are committed to helping those in need but I do have a special feeling of gratitude to Nicole.(give her a raise or a day off). Once again My daughter and me thank you all from the bottom of our hearts,May God bless you all.Thank you. Nicole Lee & Keith Leighton McElvany

I had volunteered for NHCO in the past with various school and community services, but in January of 2008 I was hired as a youth leadership coordinator for the Millvale location. One of the first things I learned about the organization is that they have several locations including but not limited to: Allison Park, Millvale, etc.; making the organiztion more available to those who do not have transportation or have limited transportation. Unlike most organizations that I have helped with in the past, I discovered within my first few days of working here that NHCO exclusively helps those in need in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh but will help other places if need be. NHCO can address a variety of issues in a person's life including spiritual, emotional, physical, and material needs. While NHCO will provide emergency assistance such as emergency food or emergency rent payment, NHCO works with the people in need to become and stay self-sufficient in their daily lives thru a diverse selection of programs such as community auto, a family savings account, and so much more. As part of my job, I run and maintain collection drives in the local area at places such as my school district and my church. A nice thing about these drive is that there is no age limit on collecting items. I have involved children as young as the elementary-school age level and have involved senior citizens from my church. Since my time working here, I have personally participated in the Souper Bowl Drvie, the Spring Share collection, and the Bike Shop; all which had great success. I would recommend the services of this organization to anyone in need because of the diversity of their programs.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
