I had made a desparation call for help. The lady that answered my call was very understanding to my needs and we had made an appointment for a meeting. The lady I met with walked me through all my options and finally agreeing on a plan of action, she showed me there was a light at the end of the tunnel. That lady's name is Nicole M. Davis. Speaking from experience,I feel she is such a valuable assett to your organization and a Godsend ,along with your orginization,to me and my 20 yo pregnent daughter. My daughter and I would love to personally thank all of you who are committed to helping those in need but I do have a special feeling of gratitude to Nicole.(give her a raise or a day off). Once again My daughter and me thank you all from the bottom of our hearts,May God bless you all.Thank you. Nicole Lee & Keith Leighton McElvany

The Great!
  • I've seen the results of this organization in... that when they say they can help you, THEY DO
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... my daughter does not have to worry about where she and my grandson will live for awhile
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... professional, kind, understanding.sincere& very caring
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... help heal the world
Ways to make it better!
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... people like me need to,should, care enough to give back to NHCO so that they may continue to help the less needy so I will put out a challenge to all of you. give $$$$ or volunteer for a couple of hours you will feel good & God will be happy
  • One thing I'd also say is that... To that shiny lite at the end of the tunnel, there stands NHCO & Nicole M. Davis

Already struggling as a family last year, when the economic situation got worse, my husband lost enough hours on his job to endanger our being able to maintain life in the area. We have had to make use of the food pantry for the past year and a half, when we used to be able to donate regularly. Unfortunately, the situation has also left our 3 year old son without proper health coverage (due to an error between the current and previous insurance companies). We were not expecting to be able to get him his life-saving medicine (he has just been diagnosed with severe asthma, which is not under control yet)and asked if they might also be able to assist us with the funds we lacked for to purchase his medicine. Thankfully, they were able to give us the difference between the funds we had and what we needed to get his medicine. This saved us an emergency room visit last night!, as his asthma gets worse whenever he plays/walks more than 30 yards/ or just about any other form of exercise. His pediatrician thinks it might clear up as he gets older, but for now it is severe enough to be life-threatening. May God Bless and Keep the great people of NHCO in his care at all times! AMEN!

  • I've seen the results of this organization in... the ability to get my son the medicine necessary to save his life and food for his nutritional needs.
  • What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... they are there when we need them and are equally as friendly as they are dependable.
  • The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... like old friends that you miss seeing after school ends.
  • If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... help everyone in the community out just a little better, especially since the entire community is having trouble staying afloat given the current economic situation.
Ways to make it better!
  • My experience would have been better if... the economy would improve enough that my husband can find steady employment and we can contribute again.
  • If I ran this organization, I would... find more ways to help more people in these tough times, by providing more volunteers to help out on distribution days.
  • In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... lack of resources in these tough economic times.
  • One thing I'd also say is that... everyone does what they can, when they can. It's nice to know that you aren't just a number served, when you need to ask for help.

North Hills Community Outreach is a shining beacon in the North Hills that provides support to many individuals and families in need. They have touched many lives and with community support, will continue to do so. We are proud to support NHCO whenever we can and we encourage others to do likewise.
